CompressPic: an exact file size, and no metadata left behind
Hit 200 KB because the form demands 200 KB — and strip the GPS pin, camera model and timestamps on the way out.
Visa portals and job applications ask for an exact file size. Image tools offer a quality slider. Efe Canbolat built CompressPic to answer the question actually being asked, and to remove what the photo is quietly carrying while it does.
01A target, not a slider
Quality settings are an approximation. Type 200 KB or 1 MB into CompressPic and it searches for the exact combination of quality and scale that lands on the target — not near it.
Presets cover the common cases, and batch processing queues dozens of photos to the same target in one pass, which is what document sets, galleries and portfolios actually need.
02What a photo is carrying
Most people do not know a holiday photo contains the GPS coordinates of where it was taken, the make and model of the camera, lens data and a precise timestamp. CompressPic shows the full metadata report first — including the GPS pin — so the decision is informed.
Then it strips all of it. GPS, camera identity, timestamps and lens data are removed before the image is written.
03Entirely on the device
There is no account, no login and no upload. Images are decoded, resized and re-encoded locally, and nothing ever leaves the phone — which matters most precisely when the photo is going to a government portal.
Format conversion between HEIC, JPG, WebP and PNG happens in the same pass, so the output matches whatever the receiving form expects.
